Our client is a busy production and engineering company based across several sites in Leicester

Due to business growth, they are looking to appoint experienced Progress Chasers to join their existing team

To exceed in this role, you will have exceptional organisational skills and prioritisation skills, with the ability to multi-task.

You will need to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines to drive efficiency and deliver the end product on time.

Main duties include but not limited to:

  • Monitor workloads across department to ensure parts are progressing in line with the production plan
  • Attend daily briefings and communicate the weekly production plan
  • Use MRP reports and daily supply reviews to set release dates for any jobs that cannot be delivered in line with the production plan
  • Monitor the ongoing production against set KPI’s
  • Communicate effectively where a production plan is not being achieved
  • Review the production plan over a rolling 12-week period and ensure that this is achievable based on material due dates and production hours available
  • Confirm job time-frames are realistic based on available manufacturing capacity
  • Where delays are known, facilitate a review of each part and identify root cause

 Skills and experience required:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a Engineering and Manufacturing environment
  • The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
  • Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines while demonstrating exceptional organisations skills
  • Must be able to read manufacturing drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances
  • Experience with quality requirements including ISO 9001
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office Package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
