Regional Health and Safety Manager - Midlands Coverage

In this role, you will be responsible for providing ongoing regional HSE support to multiple construction sites in the Midlands region. You will work closely with our operations teams and external H&S partners to drive HSEQ initiatives, monitor site safety performance, and ensure compliance with ISO45001 Safety, Quality, and Environment Management systems, as well as our company policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will be a Manager or Senior Advisor with excellent planning skills and the ability to stay one step ahead. You should be client-focused, possess strong commercial acumen, and have a track record of delivering results within deadlines.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the wider operations team and other client team members
  • Attend client H&S meetings
  • Support site teams with all H&S aspects
  • Review safe systems of work
  • Attend and advise during safe start meetings
  • Manage day-to-day H&S activities on site
  • Conduct workplace inspections and report findings
  • Conduct investigations into accidents or incidents
  • Manage on-site occupational health
  • Coordinate training for project staff

 

Role Requirements:

  • Passionate about Health & Safety
  • An effective communicator at all levels
  • A technically aware team player with experience providing health and safety support in the construction and building services sectors
  • Proficient in IT and report writing

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • CSCS Professional Card
  • First aid trained
